Financial Controller

We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a Financial Controller to join our dynamic team in London. This role involves working closely with our Finance Director and the rest of our Business Directors. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of management accounting, proficiency in Media Ocean accounting system, and advanced Excel skills.

How you’ll make an impact
There will be huge levels of accountability within this role you are an entrepreneur at All Response Media and a business partner to clients.
You will manage the company's accounting operations, ensuring accurate maintenance of accounting records and compliance with accounting standards and relevant laws.
Some of the key duties include coordinating and leading budget and financial forecast preparation, generating monthly management accounts and other periodic reports, maintaining a strong control environment within the finance team, and serving as the primary contact for external auditors.

Responsibilities for both our UK & Netherlands entities:
- Day to day management of the finance team including direct mentoring of a junior management accountant ensuring they deliver their job responsibilities in a timely and correct manner
- Oversee the preparation of accurate, timely and informative monthly management accounts for our UK and BV entities, including full variance analysis against current forecasts
- Oversee the preparation of Balance Sheet, working capital, group reporting – monthly and quarterly
- Oversee Client Profitability and Staff efficiency time Analysis, monthly and ad-hoc
- Intercompany balances – agreeing bi-annually
- Completion of quarterly VAT returns
- Ensuring all financial processes are carried our compliantly following HMRC rules and group compliance / reporting requirements
- Corporation Tax – working with FD and Group Tax advisors
- Monthly payment signoff via online portal
- Approval of all supplier payments (media owners & house)
- Primary contact for external auditors
- Assist the Finance Director with client and media owner contracts
- Profit and Loss Budgets and reforecast – internal and group
- Overseeing Cash-flow forecasts
- Checking expense / overhead postings on Mediaocean
- Various ad-hoc requests from Finance Director and other senior management
- Finance training to the wider agency
- Media agency experience preferred
